Dear BLIA Member:

Happy New Year!

Our accomplishments this year include: donating supplies to the Star of Hope mission, attending IM’s compassion activity, member gatherings, establishing sub-branches, attending community activities, hosting other temple groups and overseas visitors to Chung Mei Temple and establishing FoGuang Scholarship at Stafford Municipal School District for Katrina refuge. Additionally, we participated in several BLIA Headquarter international/national events.

     BLIA President Grand Master Hsing Yun said during the BLIA worldwide committee conference to “live like the Buddha. Build up a harmonious community through study.” It is our sincere wish that you can practice Buddhism your daily life. We hope that through study you can enrich your life and that you enjoy a prosperous New Year.

BLIA Houston still needs your support. The membership fee for year 2006 is $24 (each member). Make checks payable to BLIA Houston. Mail or drop them off at 12550 Jebbia Lane, Stafford TX 77477-3302. Please do not mail cash.
